Pond Liner FAQ
Which liner thickness do I need?
Choose 60 mil if any of these are true: boulders will sit on the liner, animals or people will walk in the pond, or the ground is sharp rock or full of roots you can't clear. If none are true, 45 mil with underlayment is the right liner.
Do I need underlayment?
Yes. Underlayment protects the liner from rocks and roots, and LifeGuard liner is warrantied for life when it's installed with UnderGuard underlayment (25 years without it). You need the same amount of underlayment as liner.
