Heavy-Duty Protection for Demanding Ponds: Anjon LifeGuard 60-Mil EPDM Pond Liner

The Anjon LifeGuard® 60-Mil EPDM Pond Liner is the heavy-duty option in the LifeGuard® line. At 60 mil, it is 33% thicker than standard 45-mil liner, giving you extra protection against rocks, roots, and heavy use. It is fish and wildlife safe, UV resistant, and lays flat for easy installation. Backed by a 25-year warranty, or a lifetime warranty when installed with UnderGuard® Geotextile Underlayment.

Built for Demanding Projects: Choose 60 mil for large koi ponds, streambeds, retention basins, rocky or root-filled soil, and any water feature where the liner will carry rock, gravel, or foot traffic. When the install is hard to redo, the extra thickness is cheap insurance.

Hassle-Free Replacement: We know that damage can occur during transit. If your liner arrives compromised, simply refuse delivery and contact us. We’ll quickly ship a replacement to keep your project on schedule.

Why Choose Anjon LifeGuard 60-Mil EPDM?

Heavy-Duty Performance

  • 60-mil thickness: 33% thicker than 45-mil liner for added puncture and tear resistance

  • No plasticizers: unlike vinyl liners, EPDM stays flexible year-round and will not crack or split in the cold
  • Conforms to shelves, contours, and custom shapes without losing strength
  • Highly UV and ozone resistant for long life in full sun

Fish & Wildlife Safe

  • Certified Fish & Wildlife Safe by Guardian Systems, Inc.
  • Safe for koi, goldfish, turtles, frogs, and plants
  • Free of plasticizers and additives that can leach into your water

Where 60 Mil Makes Sense

  • Large koi ponds and water gardens
  • Streambeds and Pond Free® waterfalls with heavy rock placement
  • Retention basins and commercial water features
  • Rocky, root-heavy, or uneven soil

How to Size Your Pond Liner

Use this simple formula to find the minimum liner size you need:

  • Required Length = Pond Length + (Pond Depth × 2) + 2 ft
  • Required Width = Pond Width + (Pond Depth × 2) + 2 ft

The extra 2 feet gives you overlap at the pond edges. Pick your width and length from the dropdowns above, rounding up to the next available size.

Example: A finished pond 40' long, 15' wide, and 4' deep needs a liner at least 50' long and 25' wide, so you would choose a 25' × 50' liner.

Anjon LifeGuard 60 Mil EPDM Pond Liner FAQs

Should I choose 45 mil or 60 mil?

45 mil is the standard choice for most backyard ponds and water gardens. Choose 60 mil for larger ponds, rocky or root-heavy soil, streambeds, or any project where the liner will carry heavy rock, gravel, or foot traffic. If you are unsure, call us at 866-383-7258 and we will help you pick.

What size liner do I need for my pond?

Add twice the pond depth plus 2 feet to both the length and width of your pond. For example, a 10' × 15' pond that is 3' deep needs a liner at least 18' × 23', so you would choose a 25' × 25' liner.

How much does the 60 mil liner weigh?

LifeGuard® 60-mil liner weighs about 0.4 lbs per square foot. A 25' × 50' liner is roughly 500 lbs, and a full 50' × 100' roll is about 2,000 lbs.

Is the LifeGuard® liner safe for fish and wildlife?

Yes. LifeGuard® EPDM is Certified Fish & Wildlife Safe by Guardian Systems, Inc. It contains no plasticizers or toxic additives and will not affect your water chemistry.

What is the warranty on this liner?

The LifeGuard® liner comes with a 25-year warranty. When installed with Anjon’s UnderGuard® Geotextile Underlayment, the warranty extends to lifetime coverage.

Can I seam two liner panels together for a larger pond?

Yes. Use Anjon EPDM seam tape (3" or 6") and Anjon primer to create a watertight field seam. Call us at 866-383-7258 to add seaming supplies to your order. Always prime both surfaces before taping, and let the seam cure for 24 hours before filling.

How does this liner ship?

Pond liners ship via freight (LTL) due to their size and weight. After your order is placed, we will reach out with shipping details and estimated delivery time. For time-sensitive projects, please call us before ordering to confirm availability.
