In the winter months, the build-up of ice poses numerous challenges for boats, dock pilings, boathouses, and the aquatic ecosystems hosting fish and wildlife. Drawing upon 45 years of specialized knowledge, the Scott Aerator Company has committed its expertise to engineering top-tier de-icing solutions.
This De-Icer stands out for its efficiency, reliability, and exceptional resilience, effectively thwarting the formation of detrimental ice on a variety of surfaces.
Everything you need is included with your Scott Aerator De-Icer.
A heavy-duty, stainless steel dock plate, pipe, and yoke assembly suspend the Scott Aerator Dock-Mount De-Icer under the water’s surface. It mounts quickly and easily to almost any type of dock, and can easily be adjusted to accommodate different water levels.
The Scott Aerator Slinger De-Icer can be suspended from a boat, pilings, or dock by using nylon ropes (included) to fasten. This de-icer removes and prevents ice by bringing warmer water from the bottom and sending it out in a continuous agitated movement.
The Scott Aerator Floating De-Icer is designed to keep large water surface areas open in the winter. Suspended from a float approximately 2 feet below the water's surface, it removes and prevents ice by bringing warmer water from the bottom and sending it out in a continuous agitated movement.
A heavy-duty, stainless steel dock plate, pipe, and yoke assembly suspend the Scott Aerator Dock Mount De-Icer under the water’s surface. It mounts quickly and easily to almost any type of dock, and can easily be adjusted to accommodate different water levels. The Dock Mount De-Icer keeps ice from forming by bringing warmer water from the bottom and sending it out in a continuously agitated movement.
This helps prevent dock pilings from being jacked, or lifted, by acting as a buffer to prevent ice expansion and pressure damage. Under extreme, below-zero winter conditions, our 1/2HP De-Icer will keep a minimum 50-foot diameter area ice-free, and up to 70 feet using the 1HP model.
Dock Plate - Ideally suited for extended placement onto a dock or comparable structure, ensuring an enduring and secure installation.
Dock Post Bracket - An excellent mounting option for docks with round, metal posts. Upgrading to the dock post bracket replaces the standard dock plate.
Truss Mount - Works well on metal docks and comparable frames using a sturdy, non-destructive attachment method. Upgrading to the truss mount replaces the standard dock plate.
Free-Standing Post - When a permanent structure is not available, the free-standing post upgrade provides great flexibility for placement. This upgrade includes a durable 8-foot post, and a dock post bracket, and replaces the standard dock plate.
Oscillator - The oscillator attachment prevents ice buildup across larger areas, eliminating the need for an extra de-icer. It auto-rotates the de-icer on its mount, programmed for 20-degree turns every 20 minutes. Set your desired radius, plug it in, and you're done.
Thermostat - The durable control box allows you to easily program your de-icer for cold temperatures. Pre-set to activate at 30°F, it runs until temperatures reach 31°F or higher. Adjustable from 0° to 80°F, UL-listed for convenience.
