Cutrine Plus Granular is a 3.7% chelated copper algaecide specially formulated to target bottom-growing algae like Chara and Nitella. Perfect for spot treatments around docks, beaches, boat launches, and fishing areas, this granular formula sinks directly to the bottom and controls algae before it reaches the surface.
Once contact is made, Cutrine Granular begins working immediately, breaking down the algae’s cellular structure and halting its ability to photosynthesize. It effectively controls planktonic algae within 24–48 hours and filamentous algae in 3–4 days.
Apply early in the season when growth first appears to reduce both the amount of product needed and dead algae buildup. For safety, treat only 1/3 to 1/2 of your pond at a time to prevent oxygen depletion.
Application rate: 1 lb per 750 sq ft or 60 lbs per surface acre. Spread evenly across the treatment area.
No water use restrictions—treated water is safe for swimming, fishing, drinking, irrigation, and livestock immediately after application. Approved for use in lakes, potable water reservoirs, farm and fish ponds, fish hatcheries, and golf course water hazards.
Note: Do not use in water containing Koi or hybrid goldfish.
