Unleash Winter's Thaw: Scott Aerator's Floating Ice Warrior

Embark on a Winter Shield: Defend boats, dock pilings, and aquatic havens with Scott Aerator's 45 years of expertise in crafting premium de-icing solutions. Conquer the challenges posed by ice accumulation with our top-tier innovations..

The Scott Aerator Floating De-Icer has been specifically crafted to maintain open expanses of water during winter. This device is suspended beneath the water's surface at a depth of approximately 2 feet, and its mechanism involves the removal and prevention of ice by drawing up warmer water from the depths and then circulating it in a continuous and agitating manner. Designed to accommodate fluctuations in water levels, the Floating De-Icer boasts robust engineering that is suitable for use in both freshwater and saltwater environments. There is also a dock version of Aquasweep, the Scott Aerator Dock Mount De-Icer.

Floating De-Icer Product Details

  • 1/2, 3/4, and 1 HP models are available.
  • 115-volt and 230-volt electrical options.
  • The De-Icer is oil-free. Other de-icers require oil to be added and changed frequently. Oil-filled motors can allow disastrous oil leaks, and they run slowly in cold water. This De-Icer is engineered for all water temperatures.
  • The De-Icer runs at 3450 rpm. Competitive de-icers, even those with 1-hp motors, run at fewer than 2000 rpm. This means the Scott Aerator De-Icer moves 400 gallons per minute compared to the competitors' 180 gallons per minute.
  • The De-Icer is manufactured using American-made stainless steel, even the motor. The competition utilizes galvanized metal.
  • 12 gauge submersible power cord, 25 feet included, capped by a rugged Hubbell marine-style plug
  • The De-Icer comes standard with an unconditional, 5-year motor warranty. Competitive models warrant their de-icers for just two years.
