In the winter months, the build-up of ice poses numerous challenges for boats, dock pilings, boathouses, and the aquatic ecosystems hosting fish and wildlife. Drawing upon 45 years of specialized knowledge, the Scott Aerator Company has committed its expertise to engineer top-tier de-icing solutions. This De-Icer stands out for its efficiency, reliability, and exceptional resilience, effectively thwarting the formation of detrimental ice on a variety of surfaces.
Needing to maintain open expanses of water during winter without a dock? Paired with the floating platform mounting option, the de-icer is suspended beneath the water's surface at a depth of approximately 2 feet, and its mechanism involves the removal and prevention of ice by drawing up warmer water from the depths and then circulating it in a continuous and agitating manner. Designed to accommodate fluctuations in water levels, the Floating De-Icer boasts robust engineering that is suitable for use in both freshwater and saltwater environments. To select this option, chooseĀ Floating Platform on the mountain options above.Ā
The Scott Aerator Slinger De-Icer can hang effortlessly from your boat, pilings, or dock using the provided nylon ropes. Harnessing warmer waters from below, this de-icer combats ice with continuous agitation. Adapts to water level changes, and thrives in diverse environments. Engineered for tough spots and dynamic conditions, an economical choice for ice prevention in expansive marinas and docks. Select this option by choosingĀ Nylon Ropes For SuspensionĀ on the mounting options above.Ā
A heavy-duty, stainless steel dock plate, pipe, and yoke assembly suspend the Scott Aerator Dock Mount De-Icer under the waterās surface. It mounts quickly and easily to almost any type of dock, and can easily be adjusted to accommodate different water levels. The Dock Mount De-Icer keeps ice from forming by bringing warmer water from the bottom and sending it out in a continuously agitated movement. This helps prevent dock pilings from being jacked, or lifted, by acting as a buffer to prevent ice expansion and pressure damage. Under extreme, below-zero winter conditions, our 1/2HP De-Icer will keep a minimum 50-foot diameter area ice-free, and up to 70 feet using the 1HP model.
