The amount of surface area this system can effectively cover depends on two factors, depth, and shape. Long, narrow ponds may require multiple diffusers to properly aerate the entire pond, while square, circular, and oval ponds can usually be aerated from one central diffuser if they are one acre or less in size.

Long lasting, continuous duty compressors offer less depth capabilities than the diaphragm or rocking piston compressors but produce considerably more air. Medium pressure, oil free compressors are excellent for pond and lake aeration.
Quick Sink, self weighted membrane air diffuser assemblies are designed to be placed at the bottom of a pond or lake. The self weighted design eliminates the need for gravel and reduces installation time. The Quick Sink diffuser assembly features round rubber (EPDM) membrane diffusers with thousands of holes which produce small air bubbles when supplied with air from an on shore compressor.
These bubbles rise to the surface and create circulation that helps destratify and aerate the water body.
